You have the right to access the personal data concerning you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and to object to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR) as well as the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). The purpose of this tool is to allow users to have individual or recurring telephone conversations with the Brussels or Strasburg offices of their elected representatives of the European Parliament. The personal information this processing entails is your telephone number. In case of recurring calls, the tool collects the following data, which are needed to provide this service: phone number, country, language and the times and intervals of the recurring calls as well as the time and date of the last call. The tool utilises Twilio for the operation of these calls. The Twilio privacy policy therefore applies to all calls and text message verification messages. Further data processing on the telephone tool of this website is done for the purposes of and abuse detection. Your contact details will never be shared with third parties. The legal basis of the processing of your personal information in the context of the telephone functionality is informed consent (Art 6 (1) lit a GDPR).

Recurring calls stop with the first reading vote on the copyright directive in the Plenary of the European Parliament. Should a second vote on the copyright directive happen in this or the next legislative term of the European Parliament, users will receive a text message notification by which they can reactivate their recurring call subscription. The user has at all time the right to delete all of their data in the system and to receive a copy of it. All data from the telephone tool will be deleted once the final vote has taken place, by which this campaign has ended. Users might receive a single text message notification in which the organisers of the campaign ask for donations.

For every page load the location of the user is determined by their IP address. This information is not retained and deleted with the delivery of the localised page.

Users have the possibility to sign up for a newsletter. The following privacy policy applies: To send you our newsletter, we use our newsletter software to process your e-mail address and the name you provide when registering. Currently this is the open source software GNU Mailman, which we run on our own server in Austria. However, we reserve the right to change this software at a later date. But the server location will always be within Austria. Your contact details will never be shared with third parties or used for any other purpose than to inform you about the activities of epicenter.works and its topics. You can unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time. At the end of each email is a link (DE, EN) to unsubscribe or change your preferences. Data processing is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit a GDPR. Your data will be stored until you revoke your consent - which is possible at any time - or until the newsletter is discontinued.

When you visit our websites, we use Matomo, a data protection-friendly analysis tool for website visitors, to collect statistical data that cannot be used to identify an identified or identifiable person. In plain language: We do not collect or store any personal data when you visit our website. We carry out the Matomo installation ourselves, so that no comparison of the collected data with other data sources by third parties is possible. Visitors who send the Do-Not-Track header are not recorded at all by our Matomo installation.

For the purpose of providing a functional website, your IP address will be forwarded to the Internet Service Provider. However, we do not store the IP addresses of visitors to our websites: the lower 16 bits of IPv4 addresses or the lower 96 bits of IPv6 addresses are discarded, so that no assignment to connections, terminals or persons is possible. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest to operate the website according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit f GDPR, which would not be possible without this minimal data processing. You have the right to object to this data processing.
